۞ We revealed to Moses: "Set forth with My servants by night for you will be pursued." 52 Then Fir'aun (Pharaoh) sent callers to (all) the cities. 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 who have certainly provoked our wrath. 55 And lo! we are a ready host. 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable position; 58 Thus (were those things taken from them) and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two groups saw each other, those with Moosa said, “They have caught us.” 61 Said he, 'No indeed; surely my Lord is with me; He will guide me.' 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 And We brought near thither the others. 64 and We delivered Moses and those with him all together; 65 and then We caused the others to drown. 66 Indeed in this is surely a sign, and most of them were not Muslims. 67 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 68
