۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; 53 (Who said): Lo! these indeed are but a little troop, 54 and they have enraged us, 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 As such We expelled them from their gardens and their fountains, 57 and treasures and a noble station; 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 At sunrise they set off in pursuit of them 60 And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!" 61 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Nay, verily! With me is my Lord, He will guide me." 62 We commanded Moses: "Smite the sea with your staff." And it parted, and every parting was like a lofty mountain. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 And We saved Musa (Moses) and all those with him. 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 68
