۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 "There is a small group of people 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 But we are a numerous host, ever on guard." 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 And treasures and a station noble. 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." 61 Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way." 62 Then We revealed to Moses, (commanding him): "Strike the sea with your rod." Thereupon the sea split up, and then each became like the mass of a huge mount. 63 Then We brought near the others [Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) party] to that place. 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Surely in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe: 67 Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 68
