And recite unto them the story of Ibrahim. 69 He said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship' 70 They said, 'We serve idols, and continue cleaving to them. 71 He said, “Do they hear you when you call?” 72 'Can they benefit you or harm you' 73 They said: "Nay, but we found our fathers doing thus (what we do)." 74 (Abraham) said, "Do you know that what you worship 75 "You and your ancient fathers? 76 They are an enemy to me, except the Lord of all Being 77 who has created me and is the One who guides me, 78 and Himself gives me to eat and drink, 79 and, whenever I am sick, heals me, 80 who makes me to die, then gives me life, 81 It is He whom I expect to forgive my sins on the Day of Judgment. 82 My Lord, give me judgment, and join me with the righteous. 83 and appoint me a tongue of truthfulness among the others. 84 And make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Delight. 85 and forgive my father, for he is one of those astray. 86 and do not disgrace me on the Day when all people are resurrected, 87 on the Day of Judgment when neither wealth nor children will be of any benefit 88 Except him who comes to Allah with a heart free (from evil). 89 Paradise will be brought near those who take heed for themselves and follow the straight path; 90 And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators, 91 who will be asked, "What did you worship 92 "Instead of Allah? Can they help you or (even) help themselves?" 93 And they will be pitched into it, they and the perverse 94 and the hosts of Iblis - all together. 95 They will say while they dispute therein, 96 "By God, we were most obviously astray 97 when we made you equal with the Lord of the Worlds. 98 And none led us astray except the culprits. 99 And now we have none to intercede for us, 100 no caring friend. 101 Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers... " 102 There is certainly a sign in that, but most of them would not believe: 103 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 104
