And recite unto them the story of Ibrahim. 69 When he said unto his father and his people: what worship ye? 70 They said: "We worship idols, and we remain constantly in attendance on them." 71 He asked: "Do they hear you when you call them 72 or do they profit you, or harm?' 73 They answered: "No; but we found our forefathers doing so." 74 He said, “Do you see these (the idols) whom you worship?” 75 You and your fathers? 76 They are all enemies to me; all, except the Lord of the Universe 77 Who created me, then He has shown me the way: 78 It is He who gives me food and drink 79 And heals me when I am sick, 80 who makes me to die, then gives me life, 81 and who I am eager shall forgive me my offence on the Day of Doom. 82 My Lord: Grant me wisdom, and join me with the good 83 "Grant me honourable mention on the tongue of truth among the latest (generations); 84 And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Delight, 85 and forgive my father for he is among those who strayed, 86 And disgrace me not on the Day when (all the creatures) will be resurrected; 87 the day when neither wealth nor sons shall profit 88 "But only he (will prosper) that brings to Allah a sound heart; 89 And the Garden will be brought nigh for those who ward off (evil). 90 and hell will be left open for the rebellious ones 91 who will be asked, "What did you worship 92 besides God? Will the idols help you? Can they help themselves?" 93 So they will be overturned into Hellfire, they and the deviators 94 and the hosts of Iblis - all together. 95 There they will quarrel with one another and the erring ones will say (to their deities): 96 they will say, "By God, we were in clear error 97 “When we considered you equal to the Lord Of The Creation.” 98 It was naught but the sinners that led us astray; 99 so now we have no intercessors, 100 “Nor a caring friend.” 101 Were there for us a return, we would be of the believers. 102 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 103 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 104

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
