And recite unto them the story of Ibrahim. 69 when he said to his father and his people, 'What do you serve?' 70 They replied: 'We worship idols and continue cleaving to them' 71 He said: "Do they hear you, when you call (on them)? 72 'Can they benefit you or harm you' 73 They said, “In fact we found our forefathers doing likewise.” 74 He said: See now that which ye worship, 75 you and those ancient forebears of yours? 76 “They are all my enemies, except the Lord Of The Creation.” 77 Who created me and Who guides me; 78 And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink. 79 He who cures me when I am ill; 80 And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life 81 It is He whom I expect to forgive my sins on the Day of Judgment. 82 (And then Abraham prayed): "My Lord, endow me with knowledge and wisdom and join me with the righteous, 83 “And give me proper fame among the succeeding generations.” 84 and make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss; 85 "And forgive my father - for, verily, he is among those who have gone astray 86 “And do not disgrace me on the day when everyone will be raised.” 87 The day when wealth and sons avail not (any man) 88 Except him who brings to Allah a clean heart [clean from Shirk (polytheism) and Nifaq (hypocrisy)]. 89 And Paradise will be brought close for the pious. 90 And hell will be revealed for the astray. 91 They will be asked: "Where are those you worshipped 92 Beside Allah? Can they succour you or succour themselves? 93 They will then be thrown into Hell with those who had gone astray 94 and the hosts of iblis all together. 95 They will dispute between themselves therein, and will say, 96 By Allah, of a truth we were in error manifest 97 When we made you equal to the Lord of the worlds; 98 “And none misled us but the guilty.” 99 So now we have no intercessors 100 Nor a true friend; 101 “So if only were we to go back, in order to become Muslims!” 102 Surely, in that there is a sign, yet most of them do not believe. 103 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 104

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
