And convey unto them the story of Abraham 69 Behold, he said to his father and his people: "What worship ye?" 70 They said, "We worship idols and will continue to cling to them." 71 He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate? 72 Or do they profit you or cause you harm? 73 They said: "Nay, but we found our fathers doing so." 74 He said: "Do you observe that which you have been worshipping, 75 Ye and your forefathers! 76 are my enemies? Not so the Lord of the Universe. 77 who created me; and He guides me, 78 "And it is He Who feeds me and gives me to drink. 79 and, whenever I am sick, heals me, 80 And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life 81 And He Who, I long, shall forgive me my faults, on the Day of Requital. 82 My Lord! Bestow Hukman (religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) on me, and join me with the righteous; 83 "Grant me honourable mention on the tongue of truth among the latest (generations); 84 and place me among those who shall inherit the garden of bliss! 85 And forgive my father; verily he is of the erring. 86 And disgrace me not on the day when they are raised 87 the Day on which neither wealth will be of any use, nor children, 88 [and when] only he [will be happy] who comes before God with a heart free of evil!" 89 "To the righteous, the Garden will be brought near, 90 "And to those straying in Evil, the Fire will be placed in full view; 91 And it will be said to them: "Where are those (the false gods whom you used to set up as rivals with Allah) that you used to worship 92 Other than God? Can they save you or even save themselves?" 93 So they will be overturned into Hellfire, they and the deviators 94 and the hosts of Iblis - all together. 95 And they will say, and they will be quarrelling in it: 96 they will say, "By God, we were in clear error 97 When we made you equal to the Lord of the worlds; 98 And none led us astray except the culprits. 99 “So now we do not have any intercessors.” (The believers shall have intercessors, the disbelievers none). 100 nor any loving friend. 101 "'Now if we only had a chance of return we shall truly be of those who believe!'" 102 Verily herein is a sign, but most of them are not believers. 103 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 104
