And recite to them the story of Ibrahim. 69 Behold, he said to his father and his people: "What worship ye?" 70 They said: We worship idols, so we shall be their votaries. 71 He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate? 72 or can they benefit or harm you?" 73 They answered: "No; but we found our forefathers doing so." 74 He said: "Have you considered what you have been worshipping, 75 you, and your elderly fathers? 76 They are all enemies to me; all, except the Lord of the Universe 77 Who created me, then He has shown me the way: 78 "Who gives me food and drink, 79 And when I sicken, then He healeth me. 80 And He Who will cause me to die, then give me life; 81 and who, [hope, will forgive me my faults on Judgment Day! 82 My Lord! Vouchsafe me wisdom and unite me to the righteous. 83 And grant me an honourable mention in later generations; 84 and place me amongst the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss. 85 And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray. 86 And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected - 87 “The day when neither wealth will benefit nor will sons.” 88 But to him who comes to God with a tranquil heart." 89 And Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous. 90 And Hell made visible to those who had gone astray. 91 who will be asked, "What did you worship 92 apart from God? Do they help you or help themselves?' 93 Thereupon they will be hurled into hell - they, as well as all [others] who had been lost in grievous error, 94 and so too the hosts of Iblis, all of them. 95 And they will say while they dispute with one another, 96 By Allah! we were certainly in manifest error, 97 “When we considered you equal to the Lord Of The Creation.” 98 yet they who have seduced us [into believing in you] are the truly guilty ones! 99 and now we have none to intercede on our behalf, 100 "'Nor a single friend to feel (for us). 101 "'Now if we only had a chance of return we shall truly be of those who believe!'" 102 Surely, in that there is a sign, yet most of them do not believe. 103 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 104

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
