And recite to them the news of Abraham. 69 He said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship' 70 They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted." 71 'Do they hear you when you call on them' He asked. 72 Do they help or harm you?" 73 They said: Nay, we found our fathers doing so. 74 He said, “Do you see these – (the idols) whom you worship?” 75 you, and your elderly fathers? 76 Verily they are an enemy unto me, save the Lord of the worlds. 77 Who created me and Who guides me; 78 It is He who gives me food and drink 79 He who cures me when I am ill; 80 "Who will cause me to die, and then to life (again); 81 It is He whom I expect to forgive my sins on the Day of Judgment. 82 “My Lord, bestow me the command and join me with those who deserve your proximity.” 83 And give unto me a good report in later generations. 84 And put me among the inheritors of Paradise. 85 and forgive my father; for he is one of the misguided; 86 Degrade me not upon the day when they are raised up, 87 The day when wealth and sons avail not (any man) 88 Except him who brings to Allah a clean heart [clean from Shirk (polytheism) and Nifaq (hypocrisy)]. 89 (On that Day) the Garden will be brought near to the God-fearing, 90 And hell will appear plainly to the erring. 91 It shall be said to them, 'Where is that you were serving 92 Other than Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?" 93 Then will they be hurled therein, they and the seducers 94 and the hosts of iblis all together. 95 "Quarrelling therein with each other, 96 By Allah, of a truth we were in error manifest 97 “When we considered you equal to the Lord Of The Creation.” 98 Only the sinful ones made us go astray. 99 so now we have no intercessors, 100 Nor a true friend; 101 Oh, that we had another turn (on earth), that we might be of the believers! 102 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 103 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 104
