And recite to them the news of Abraham, 69 He said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship' 70 They said: We worship idols, and are ever devoted unto them. 71 He said: Do they hear you when you call? 72 or can they benefit or harm you?" 73 They said: Nay, but we found our fathers acting on this wise. 74 He said: "Do you observe that which you have been worshipping, 75 Ye and your forefathers! 76 "They are all my enemies, except the Lord Of The Creation." 77 Who created me, then He has shown me the way: 78 And Who feedeth me and watereth me. 79 And heals me when I am sick, 80 "And He will give me death, then resurrect me." 81 and whom I am eager shall forgive me my sins on the Day of Recompense' 82 My Lord: Grant me wisdom, and join me with the good 83 And appoint for me an honourable mention among the posterity 84 Make me inherit the bountiful Paradise. 85 And forgive my father. Lo! he is of those who err. 86 And disgrace me not on the Day when (all the creatures) will be resurrected; 87 The Day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail, 88 except what is done in obedience to God with a submissive heart. 89 And Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous. 90 and hell will be left open for the rebellious ones 91 And it will be said to them: "Where are those (the false gods whom you used to set up as rivals with Allah) that you used to worship 92 other than Allah? Do they help you or even help themselves' 93 Then they shall be pitched into it, they and the perverse 94 And the hosts of the Shaitan, all. 95 They will dispute between themselves therein, and will say, 96 'By Allah, we were certainly in clear error, 97 when we made you equal with the Lord of the Worlds. 98 And none led us astray except the culprits. 99 Now we have none to intercede for us, 100 no caring friend. 101 (Alas!) If we only had a chance to return (to the world), we shall truly be among the believers! 102 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 103 Surely, Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 104

Translators can be Sunnis, Shiites, men, women, Muslims by birth, converts, ancient, or contemporary. There are also valid translations by non-Muslim translators. The list of translators is available at the end of each page. Click or tap the page number to reload a different combination. ColorfulQuran.com does not endorse or prefer any particular translation over another and displays it only for information.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
