The people of Noah denied the messengers 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 So fear Allah and obey me' 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 Their reckoning rests with none but my Sustainer: if you could but understand [this]! 113 I would not drive away the believers; 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 He said: My Lord! Surely my people give me the lie! 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 Wherefore We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 afterwards, We drowned the rest. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 And lo, thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
