The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Nuh (Noah) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 106 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 I ask no recompense of you for it. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 109 So fear Allah and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 He said, “What do I know what their deeds are?” 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 Then after it, We drowned the rest. 120 Verily herein is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 122
