The people of Noah gave the lie to the Messengers. 105 span class="col">Their brother Noah asked them, "Why do you not fear God? 106 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 107 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe in you when no one has followed you except the lowest ones". 111 He said: I have no knowledge of that which they have been Working. 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 I am not going to drive away any believers. 114 I am only a plain warner. 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said: my Lord! verily my people have belied me. 117 Judge among us and save me and the believers with me". 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 Verily there is a sign in this, yet many of them do not believe. 121 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace 122
