The people of Noah rejected the Messengerss. 105 When their brother Noah said to them: "Will you not take heed? 106 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 107 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 If only you would realize, their account is with my Lord. 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 I am only a Prophet. 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 So pass a clear judgement between me and them and rescue me and the believers with me." 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 afterwards, We drowned the rest. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace 122
