The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 so fear you God, and obey you me.' 110 ۞ They said, “Shall we believe in you, whereas the abject people are with you?” 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 I am naught but a warner manifest. 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will be stoned." 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 So decide Thou between me and them with a decision, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 Thereafter We drowned those who remained behind. 120 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 121 Your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
