The Thamud (people) rejected the messengers. 141 When their brother Salih said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 142 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 143 So fear Allah and obey me. 144 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 145 “Will you be left peacefully in these favours over here?” 146 amidst gardens and fountains, 147 sown fields and palmtrees, with slender spathes. 148 And you hew houses out of the mountains exultingly; 149 So fear God and obey me: 150 And do not obey the bidding of the extravagant, 151 “Those who spread turmoil in the earth, and do no reform.” 152 They said, "You are only bewitched and insane. 153 You are but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be of the truthful." 154 Salih said: "This is a she-camel. There is a day set for her to drink and there is a day set for you to drink. 155 and do not touch her with malice so that there seize you the chastisement of a dreadful day.' 156 Then they hamstrung her; and then they became regretful. 157 So the punishment overtook them. Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 158 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 159

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
