The tribe of Thamud also rejected the messengers. 141 When their brother Salih (Saleh) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 142 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 143 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 144 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 145 "Will you be left secure in that which you have here? 146 amidst the gardens, springs, 147 “And fields and palm-trees, with delicate tendrils?” 148 And dwellings hewed out of mountains ingeniously? 149 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 150 Do not follow those who are extravagant, 151 who spread evil in the land with no reform." 152 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 153 Thou art but a human being like unto us. So bring thou a sign if thou art of the truth-tellers. 154 He said: yonder is a she-camel; to her a drink, and to you a drink, each on a day known. 155 And do not touch her with evil, lest the punishment of a grievous day should overtake you. 156 But they hamstrung her and then regretted it. 157 So the chastisement seized them. Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 158 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 159

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
