The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 so fear you God, and obey you me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 They said, "Lot, if you do not give up preaching, you will certainly be expelled (from this town)". 167 [Lot] exclaimed: "Behold, I am one of those who utterly abhor your doings!" 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
