Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger. 162 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 163 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 164 What, do you come to male beings, 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 We saved him and all of his family, 170 Except an old woman, among those who remained behind. 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 We rained upon them a rain, and evil is the rain (of stones) on those that are warned. 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
