The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 I am for you an honest Messenger. 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
