The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 When their brother Lout (Lot) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him? 161 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
