The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 164 “What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” 165 And leave the wives your Lord created for you? Nay, but ye are froward folk. 166 They said: If thou cease not, O Lot, thou wilt soon be of the outcast. 167 He said: verily I am of those who abhor your work. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from their evil doings." 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 Except an old woman, among those who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 And We rained on them a rain (of torment). And how evil was the rain of those who had been warned. 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
