[AND] the people of Lot gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 160 When their brother Lut said unto them: fear ye not? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 164 What, of all creation will you go to (fornicate with) the males, 165 Leaving the consorts your Lord has made for you? But you are a people who exceed the bounds." 166 They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 175
