The people of Lut rejected the messengers. 160 when their brother Lot said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 161 "Verily! I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 So fear God and listen to me. 163 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 164 What, do you come to the males of the world, 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 My Lord, save me and my family from their evil doings." 169 So We delivered him and his followers all, 170 Except an old woman (his wife) among those who remained behind. 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
