Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 keeping yourselves aloof from all the [lawful] spouses whom your Sustainer has created for you? Nay, but you are people who transgress all bounds of what is right!" 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; 168 My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do." 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 Except an old woman who lingered behind. 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. 173 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
