The people of Lut belied the sent ones. 160 Their brother Lot asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said, "If you do not desist, Lot, you will surely be banished." 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 We saved him and all of his family 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
