The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lut said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 161 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 162 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Go ye in, of all creatures, unto the males? 165 And leave the wives your Lord created for you? Nay, but ye are froward folk. 166 They said: "If thou desist not, O Lut! thou wilt assuredly be cast out!" 167 He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We saved him and his whole family 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 Then We destroyed the rest of them, 172 And We rained on them a rain. And dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. 173 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 174 And lo! thy Lord, He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
