The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 Leaving the consorts your Lord has made for you? But you are a people who exceed the bounds." 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 Lord, save me and my family from their deeds." 169 So We saved him and his family, all, 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! 173 Surely, in that there is a sign. Yet most of them do not believe. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
