Lot's nation, belied their Messengers. 160 Recall, when their brother Lot said to them: "Have you no fear? 161 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 [Lot] exclaimed: "Behold, I am one of those who utterly abhor your doings!" 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 We therefore rescued him and his entire family. 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Then We utterly destroyed the others. 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
