The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 when their brother Shu'ayb said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 And weigh with the true balance. 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 for thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! And behold, we think that thou art a consummate liar! 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191
