The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 When Shu'eyb said unto them: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 177 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 178 So fear God and follow me. 179 my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 And thou art but a human being like unto us, and we deem thee to be of the liars. 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Surely, in this is indeed a sign; but most of them would not believe: 190 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
