The dwellers in the wood (of Midian) denied the messengers (of Allah), 176 What time Shu'aib said unto them: fear ye not? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 and weigh with the straight balance, 182 And defraud not people of their things, and commit not corruption on the earth. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 for thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! And behold, we think that thou art a consummate liar! 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
