The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 so fear God, and obey me. 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 And defraud not people of their things, and commit not corruption on the earth. 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
