The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). 181 and weigh with the straight balance, 182 “And do not give the people their goods diminished, and do not roam the earth causing turmoil.” 183 Fear He who created you, and the generations of the ancient' 184 They said, “You are under a magic spell.” 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191
