The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 Shu'ayb asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." 188 But they denied him, so there came on them the retribution of the day of gloom. Lo! it was the retribution of an awful day. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
