The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 And defraud not people of their things, and commit not corruption on the earth. 183 “And fear Him Who created you and the earlier creations.” 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 "Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar! 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 Then they belied him; wherefore there laid hold of them the torment of day of shadow. Verily it was the torment of a Mighty Day. 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
