The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 191
