The dwellers of the forest also rejected the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 And weigh with an even balance. 182 And do not withhold from people what belongs to them, and do not corrupt the land; 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said: thou art but of the bewitched; 185 and a mere mortal like us. We think you are a liar. 186 "Now cause a piece of the sky to fall on us, if thou art truthful!" 187 He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do." 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
