The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 What time Shu'aib said unto them: fear ye not? 177 I am a trustworthy Messengers. 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 I ask no recompense of you for this. My reward is due from none but the Lord of all the worlds. 180 ۞ "Maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others. 181 and weigh with the straight balance, 182 And defraud not people of their things, and commit not corruption on the earth. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
