This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayst be (one) of the warners, 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 And was this not a sign for them, that the scholars of the Descendants of Israel may recognise this Prophet? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 and when thou turnest about among those who bow. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
