And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 they say: "Can we be granted some respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 But hast thou ever considered [this]: If We do allow them to enjoy [this life] for some years, 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 Have trust in the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 The devils convey upon them what they heard, but most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
