This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 They will not believe in it until they clearly see the grievous chastisement. 201 The torment will strike them suddenly without their knowledge. 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down. 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And warn your near relations, 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 For it is He Who heareth and knoweth all things. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
