Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel – peace be upon him.) 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 We never destroyed a village that did not have warners 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 or move during your prostration with the worshippers. 219 Surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 and say things which they do not act upon, 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
