And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then they will say: are we to be respited? 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 What thinkest thou? If We give them enjoyment of days for many years, 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Except those who believed and did good deeds, and profusely remembered Allah, and took revenge after they had been wronged*; and soon the unjust will come to know upon which side they will be overturned**. (* The Muslim poets who praise Allah and the Prophet. ** The disbelievers will be punished.) 227

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
