And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 With it came down the spirit of Faith and Truth- 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 and then what they were promised comes to them, 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 We never destroyed a village that did not have warners 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 who sees thee when thou standest [alone,] 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 for, verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing! 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, only those who go astray follow them. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
