And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel – peace be upon him.) 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are not aware, 202 They will say, "Can we be granted any respite?" 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 and then Our torment will strike them, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 they are not supposed to do so. Nor do have they the ability for such a task. 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend upon every lying, sinful one, 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets -- it is the misled who follow them. 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
