The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta Sin! These are the verses of the Quran and the Book that makes (things) clear 1 A guide (to the Right Path); and glad tidings for the believers [who believe in the Oneness of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism)]. 2 who pray regularly and pay obligatory alms and have firm faith in the Hereafter. 3 Verily those who believe not in the Hereafter - fairseeming unto them We have made their works, so that they wander perplexed. 4 Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers. 5 As for you, (O Muhammad), you are receiving the Qur'an from the Most Wise, the All-Knowing. 6 (Remember) when Moosa said to his wife, “I have sighted a fire; I will soon bring its news to you, or bring for you an ember from it so that you may warm yourselves.” 7 But when he reached it, a voice called out: "Blessed is He who is in the fire and all around it. Praised be God, the Lord of all the worlds. 8 O Moses, I am that God, the mighty and all-wise. 9 Now cast your rod!" But when he saw the rod writhing as though it were a serpent, he turned his back in retreat and did not even look behind. "O Moses, have no fear. Messengers have no fear in My presence, 10 except he who has committed some wrong. But if he substitutes good in place of evil, I am Most Forgiving, Most Compassionate. 11 Put your hand in the bosom of your shirt; it will come out white without any blemish. This will be one of nine tokens for the Pharaoh and his people, who are a wicked lot indeed." 12 Then when Our signs came unto them illuminating, they said: this is a magic manifest. 13 And they belied them (those Ayat) wrongfully and arrogantly, though their ownselves were convinced thereof [i.e. those (Ayat) are from Allah, and Musa (Moses) is the Messenger of Allah in truth, but they disliked to obey Musa (Moses), and hated to believe in his Message of Monotheism]. So see what was the end of the Mufsidun (disbelievers, disobedient to Allah, evil-doers, liars.). 14
