The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book 1 a guidance and glad tidings to believers, 2 who establish Prayer and give Zakah, and have firm faith in the Hereafter. 3 Those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have decked out fair for them their works, and they wander blindly; 4 they are the ones who will have the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. 5 (Muhammad), you have certainly received the Quran from the All-wise and All-knowing One. 6 Tell of Moses who said to his family, "I have seen a fire. I will bring you news from there, or a burning brand for you to warm yourselves." 7 When he approached the fire, he was told, "Blessed is the one in the fire and those around it. All glory belongs to God, the Lord of the Universe. 8 O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." 9 And cast thou down thy staff. Then when he saw it wriggling as though it were a serpent, he turned in flight and looked not back. O Musa! fear thou not; verily in My presence the sent ones fear not. 10 except he who has done evil, then, after evil, has changed into good. I am the Forgiving, Most Merciful. 11 Put your hand into your pocket. It will come out sheer white but unharmed. This is one of the nine miracles which shall be showing to the Pharaoh and his people; they are truly wicked men." 12 And when Our signs came as distinct proofs, they said: "This is only magic." 13 And they gainsaid them, out of spite and arrogance, although their souls were convinced thereof. So behold! what hath been the end of the corruptors. 14
