The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ TA SIN. THESE are the verses of the Qur'an, and collection of explicit laws, 1 A guide (to the Right Path); and glad tidings for the believers [who believe in the Oneness of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism)]. 2 Those who keep the prayer established and pay the charity and are certain of the Hereafter. 3 As for those who will not believe in the life to come - behold, goodly have We made their own doings appear unto them, and so they stumble blindly to and fro 4 Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers. 5 And most surely you are made to receive the Quran from the Wise, the Knowing Allah. 6 When Musa said to his family: Surely I see fire; I will bring to you from it some news, or I will bring to you therefrom a burning firebrand so that you may warm yourselves. 7 But when he came to it, he was called, "Blessed is whoever is at the fire and whoever is around it. And exalted is Allah, Lord of the worlds. 8 O Moses! Lo! it is I, Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. 9 And cast down your staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating and did not return: O Musa! fear not; surely the apostles shall not fear in My presence; 10 "But if any have done wrong and have thereafter substituted good to take the place of evil, truly, I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. 11 Thrust thy hand in thy bosom and it will come forth white without evil-among nine signs to Pharaoh and his people; they are an ungodly people.' 12 But when Our Clear Signs came to them, they said: "This is plain magic." 13 They denied them unjustly out of pride, though their souls acknowledged them. See, how was the end of the corrupt workers! 14
