The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta. Sin. These are revelations of the Qur'an and a Scripture that maketh plain; 1 it is guidance and good news for the believers 2 who establish their prayers, and pay the obligatory charity, and are certain of the Everlasting Life. 3 We make their deeds attractive to those who do not believe in the Hereafter, so that they may wander in perplexity. 4 Those are they for whom shall be an evil torment. And in the Hereafter they shall be the greatest losers. 5 And verily thou art receiving the Qur'an from before the Wise, the Knowing. 6 Behold! Moses said to his family: "I perceive a fire; soon will I bring you from there some information, or I will bring you a burning brand to light our fuel, that ye may warm yourselves. 7 But when he reached it, he was called, saying: Blessed is Whosoever is in the fire and Whosoever is round about it! And Glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds! 8 Moses, it is I, Allah, the Almighty, the Wise. 9 And cast thou down thy staff. Then when he saw it wriggling as though it were a serpent, he turned in flight and looked not back. O Musa! fear thou not; verily in My presence the sent ones fear not. 10 as for those who do wrong and then do good after evil, I am most forgiving, most merciful. 11 Now put your hand into your bosom, and it will come forth shining without any blemish. (These are two of the) nine Signs to be carried to Pharaoh and his people. They are surely a wicked people." 12 But when Our signs came to them visibly, they said, 'This is a manifest sorcery'; 13 They denied those Signs out of iniquity and arrogance although their hearts were convinced of their truth. So see how evil was the end of those mischief-makers! 14
